Kamokamo River in winter
Kamokamo River runs through Nakajima Park from south to north. Then the river runs through the Susukino area and joins Sosei River. It is a stream in the urban area. Even in winter, carp are living here. Carp used to be kept by traders of carps in winter. However, as the cost is about 10 million yen, it was decided to have carp keep living there in winter from 2006. When I visited there, some parts were frozen. I could not see any carp even from the bank. Instead, I could see the couple of ducks that were looking for their food from the surface of the river.(英訳はJust English Pressの協力を得ている)
